Radionics can be used to determine the ray of each subtle body. Radionics is a form of dowsing. It is simply a method of accessing information not available to our physical senses. If I were more advanced in the integration of my subtle bodies, using a radionics machine would not be necessary. I would simply "know". With proper intent, radionics can function much like the human soul. It can broaden your perspective on any subject you direct it toward and present the results in a form your physical senses can interpret. The instrument forms an artificial connection between your Soul and your personality.

Author David Tansley has written a wonderful book called "Chakras, Rays and Radionics". As there is so much written about The Seven Rays and about radionics, it is startling that more people dont use radionics to measure the ray energies pervading all things. Tansley's book is the only one I know of on the subject. I would enjoy finding others. Tansley has taken the geometric patterns associated with each ray (I believe the patterns were developed by Geoffrey Hodson, a Theosophical writer and lecturer.) and measures the resonance of each subtle body to the different geometrical ray patterns. There is always one ray that is found to qualify each subtle body.

I use an instrument that functions differently from the one Tansley describes. It is based on the American rate system. This means the rates or access codes for anything from the emotional body, to the cells in a plant leaf, are in the form of two dial rates. The access rate for a liver is 17-29. 17 goes on the first dial, 29 on the second dial. There are other rate systems; most notably the European system which uses up to and beyond 9 digits. Those machines have a dial for each digit. Other people use a pendulum and rate cards without a machine.

All these different rates have been developed by dowsers over many decades in many countries. There are thousands of different rates used to measure the degree to which some quality exists in the subject being studied. For example, a hair sample of you (called a "witness") is placed in the machine. Then the rate for "astral body" is set on the top bank of dials. Then the rate for first ray energy is placed on the bottom bank of dials. You are now ready to determine the amount of first ray energy in your astral body. In radionics it is common to use the terms "condition and location". Your astral body would be the location and first ray energy would be the condition to measure in the astral body.

Of course this is quite simplified. To be competent one must learn and develop correct operating methods and develop an understanding and respect for the principals, and potentials radionics affords. I would strongly suggest to anyone interested to receive competent training before attempting to measure or influence forces not readily perceived by the ordinary senses. With an expansion of consciousness gained through any avenue of pursuit there must be a period of adjustment and an increased measure of responsibility.
